Beyond Nuclear Family: Social Exclusion and Informal Social Protection Networks in Urban Jakarta is a collaborative research project by IFAR and IPP Atma Jaya examining how nuclear-family assumptions shape access to social protection and care among urban poor communities in Greater Jakarta. The project explores both exclusion from formal social protection systems and the informal networks of kinship, neighbours, friends, religious groups, and communities that provide everyday care and support.
